About HCCA

The Howard County Citizens Association is a non-partisan organization of County residents. Its purpose is to bring residents together to express views, take joint action, and encourage participation in County affairs.

HCCA participated in the original planning of Columbia and later in the work of the APFO Task Force and the 2000 County General Plan.

Recent HCCA activities on behalf of residents include testimony or working with public officials in support of:

  • Responsible land use ensuring adequate roads, schools and quality of life
  • Master plans for Downtown Columbia, Turf Valley, Route 40 and Route 1
